ResBizAI is operated by Siamak Kalhor Consulting ("ResBizAI," "we," "us"). This policy explains what information we collect when you use ResBizAI, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have — in plain English.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details — your name, email address, username, role (owner, manager, or staff), and password. Passwords are encrypted (hashed) and never stored or visible to us in plain text.
- Your restaurant's records — the operational data you enter to run your business: staff, inventory and prep lists, 86'd items, menu, daily profit-and-loss entries, and multi-location details.
- Invoices & vendor data — when you use invoice capture, the invoice text or details you paste or enter (vendor, line items, amounts) are processed to extract and categorize them. See "AI processing."
- Messages to us — anything you send when you contact us for a demo or support.
Information collected automatically
- Usage & device data — basic information such as browser type, device, and pages viewed, used to keep the product working and improve it.
- Cookies & analytics — we use Google Analytics to understand how the site and app are used.
2. How we use your information
- To provide ResBizAI: run your staff, inventory, prep, menu, invoices, and profit-and-loss tools.
- To secure accounts and enforce role-based access, so staff see only what they need and financials stay private to owners and managers.
- To respond to your requests and provide support and setup.
- To maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the product.
- To send important service messages (for example, account or security notices).
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your restaurant's records to advertise to you.
3. AI processing
ResBizAI's smart features — including invoice capture and categorization and the assistant — are powered by AI provided by Anthropic (the makers of Claude). To carry out a request, the relevant text (such as an invoice you're capturing, or a question you ask) is sent securely to Anthropic's API to generate a response, which is returned to you. We choose providers that do not train their models on data sent through their business API.
4. How we share information
We share information only with the service providers that make ResBizAI work, and only as needed to run the product:

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or users' safety, or as part of a business transfer. Data is processed and stored in the United States.
5. How we protect your information
- Passwords are encrypted (hashed) — never stored in plain text.
- Role-based access keeps financial data limited to owners and managers.
- Each restaurant's data is kept in its own private, separate workspace.
- Data is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections.
No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard practices.
6. How long we keep information
We keep your account and restaurant records for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymize your information within a reasonable period, except where we must keep it to meet legal, tax, or security obligations. You can export your data at any time.
7. Your rights and choices
- Access & export — view and download your data anytime from within ResBizAI.
- Correction — update your information directly, or ask us to help.
- Deletion — request deletion of your account and personal information.
- Opt out of analytics — see "Cookies & analytics."
Depending on where you live (for example, California's CCPA or the EU's GDPR), you may have additional rights. To exercise any of these, contact us below.
8. Cookies & analytics
We use cookies and Google Analytics to understand usage and improve the product. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's opt-out browser add-on.
9. Children's privacy
ResBizAI is a business tool intended for adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above, and significant changes may be communicated to you directly. Continued use of ResBizAI after an update means you accept the revised policy.
